SAINTS SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

What is persecution?
Persecution is unfair or cruel treatment of a person because of his or her religious belief.

The word of God tells us that saints shall suffer persecutions. Not everyone that professes Jesus is a saint.

Saints are the Christians who have accepted to die to sin. Saints do not live in sin, but in total obedience to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Reasons why saints shall suffer persecution?
Jesus said that the world hates Him because He testifies that it works are evil.
Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Anyone who does evil hates the light and cannot come to the light lest his deeds should be reproved. The reason why saints shall suffer persecution is bearing witness that the works of this world are evil.

Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

If you profess yourself to be a Christian but you are a dumb dog that cannot bark, you wink at sin and you do not reprove the unfruitful works of darkness you will be loved by the world because you are a fake Christian.

On the contrary if you call out sin and rebuke the unfruitful works of darkness you will suffer persecutions.
John the Baptist was beheaded for rebuking Herod for taking his brother
s wife.

Other saints and wise men were persecuted for rebuking idolatry and so forth. Saints suffer persecution because of testifying that the works of this earth are evil.

If you are true born again Christian start reproving sin and notice what will happen to you.

If you are a saint reprove homosexuals, lesbians, whores, whoremongers, abortionists and so forth and notice the persecutions that you will receive.

If you go to a place and start calling out sin, you will be rejected, hated, beaten, arrested and in extreme cases you might die.

Saints suffer persecution because their presence shows that the world is evil. Evil people don
t like to be reproved. Evil people do not rejoice when their wickedness is exposed.

The wicked enjoy the company of the wicked, or muttered down Christians who do not speak out and take a firm stand for Jesus.

Examples of persecutions.
Rejection
If you are a saint and you reprove the wicked you will be rejected. For example if you are a woman who dresses modestly and you are around whores they will reject you because you reprove their nakedness.

Sinners love the company of sinners. Depart from the wicked and be separate saith the Lord, touch not the unclean thing and He will receive you.

Whores love the company of whores; drunkards love the company of drunkards and so forth.

If you are a woman for example and you are looking for a white collar job dressed in a modest apparel, the whores in that organization might refuse to accept you because of your mode of dress or your modest behavior.

You will not be accepted by the wicked anywhere you go.

Slanderous remarks
The wicked will make videos, audios, articles about saints that slanders their name. They might be called devil worshippers, hatemonger
s or foolish e.t.c.

The wicked will not say good things about you if you follow Jesus Christ in deed and word.

Imprisonment.
The devil will make laws that go against our faith like what happened in the case of Daniel the prophet. The devil might make laws which prohibit saints from speaking against homosexuality and abortion.

Saints who are bold and filled with the Holy Spirit will not hold their silence but they will proclaim what the word of God says about these sins which will cause them to be jailed. Saints will be imprisoned.

Death
In extreme cases you might die if you are a saint. The wicked are possessed by evil spirits and the demons that are seeking to destroy them don
t want a saint that will lead them away from destruction.

That is why the devil may push them to hurt or kill you.

What is the sign of a true Christian?
A true Christian is not identified by singing or praying. A true Christian is identified by having battle scars. We are in a warfare and a saint must have battle scars.

The sign of a true Christian is when people persecute you for your faith.
The world is supposed to slander your name, beat you or throw you into prisons.

A true Christian must suffer persecution. A person who professes to know Jesus and he/she is not suffering persecutions is a fake and a phony Christian.

The word of God tells us that all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Anyone that does not suffer persecution is a pervert and on the broad way to hell.

The way of the cross is full of persecutions and reproaches. When you are a follower of Jesus Christ you have to count the cost of following Jesus.  The way to heaven is full of troubles pointing us to death and persecutions.

If you are not suffering persecutions you are not walking on the way of the cross.
Fortunately saints will be comforted in heaven.

After the persecutions and tribulations we will live happily forever with the Lord. Jesus said we shall suffer persecutions for a season but our grief shall be turned into joy in due time.

On the contrary our persecutors will endure everlasting misery in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone if they refuse to repent and put their trust in Jesus.

If you are not suffering persecution, this is a wakeup call for you to join the battle and start suffering persecutions so that we might rejoice together in due time.

The word of God tells us that if we suffer with Christ we shall also reign with Christ.
2Ti 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

This article is also an encouragement to saints who are suffering for the sake of the Gospel, take heart because we shall be glorified together in due time.
